This Section is for Member Artists of Spring City Arts. It contains updates and information helpful for members.
New Committes
Please review the committees below and email me which one you would like help with, all members need to work on the committee of their choice. Committees will start meeting to plan for the events this year.

Spring City Arts Committees:

Gallery: Operations, scheduling, exhibits and shows, artwork quality, hanging art, financial record keeping.

Artist Studio Tour: Sponsorships, Tickets and Map, Signage, Organization and operations, ticket sales, Food Booths

Plein Air Competition: Sponsorships, Registration, Organization and operations, Show display, Displaying art, Sales, Judges and judging, Awards

Advertising: Website, marketing plans, promotion card and posters, advertising, press releases, puplic service announcements, media relations, etc.

Literary Projects: Short Stories, Poetry, Biographical and Documentary Books and other written projects, some in conjunction with visual artists.

Music Festivals:

2009 Calendar of Meetings
The schedule for the 2009 meetings, will be posted at the first of the year.
Art for Gallery Needed ! ! !
I would like to ask that members consider changing some of their artwork being shown in the gallery in the comming year. As we go into the new 2009 year, a refreshing change will do us good. Visitors should not be viewing the same artwork as they might have seen before. We always need to put our new artwork up as an example of the great quality of artwork our group create.

WE CONTINUE TO NEED ALL MEMBERS TO VOLUNTEER FOR GALLERY OPERATIONS!
Each of you agreed to support and man the gallery in a 'Co-Op' working relationship, that means EVERY member will need to be able to operate the gallery from 12:00 noon until 5:00pm, at least once every 8 weeks, this gallery will only be successful with all of our participation! Some artists have not signed up for their shifts yet, and some who had sign-up, have already forgotten to show up on your days, we all need to be more diligent about our times. To help, Ed Soper and Jerry Johnson are both helping to make sure the gallery is manned and will try to help remind you of your shifts for each week. Membership Dues
2008 membership dues are now payable. The dues will remain at $50.00. All the membership notices have been handed out or mailed to members, please send your check in ASAP. Thank you!
Artist Webpage Images and Information Needed
I am still needing biography information, contact info and images for your personal springcityarts.com webpage. Please send this in to me ASAP, info@springcityarts.com.
2009 Events
If you have any ideas or suggestions for making 2008 events even better or if you have new ideas to consider for next year please bring them to our meetings or talk to one of the board members. We are always looking for good things.
